Columbia County Juvenile Probation Mission Statement:
To provide for children who have committed delinquent acts programs of supervision, care and rehabilitation which provide balanced attention to the protection of the community, the imposition of accountability for offenses committed and the development of competencies to enable children to become responsible and productive members of the community by employing evidence-based practices, with fidelity, at every stage of the juvenile justice process; collecting and analyzing the data necessary to measure the results of these efforts; and, with this knowledge, striving to continuously improve the quality of our decisions, services and programs.

Mission Statement:
The Montour County Probation Office is committed to provide the highest quality of services and supervision possible to its clients and the community. The Montour County Probation Office believes that the community is best protected in the long run through the successful reintegration of the offender into the community. In the event that a client encounters difficulty in making positive adjustment, the Montour County Probation Office is committed to using available alternative resources prior to the recommitment of an offender; provided the offender does not pose a threat to the welfare of the community. It is to these ends that the probation office provides services to the offender and protection to the community.
